An annual service to celebrate Distinguished Alumni of the College was introduced in 2011. A Distinguished Alumni Honours Board has been installed in Constance Hall, and each year the names of the new Distinguished Alumni are added. Each is presented with a special Columba Distinguished Alumni medal. 

The inaugural Distinguished Alumnae were Dame Alison Roxburgh, Dame Elizabeth Hanan, Mrs Isobel Thomson and Dr Cilla McQueen.

The 2012 Distinguished Alumnae were Miss Honor McKellar and Ms Elspeth Sandys.

In 2013 Professor Dinah Reddihough was the Distinguished Alumna.

The 2014 Distinguished Alumnae were Dr Helen Cleugh and Mrs Rosemary Paterson.
