"Inspired by the last Labour Weekend Reunion in Dunedin, a group of COG's in Auckland organised an informal shared lunch. To keep it simple, everyone was asked to bring a plate and since it was summer we were able to sit outdoors and enjoy a marvellous few hours revisiting old friendships and catching up with whole life-times of news.
We have decided at the very least we shall arrange an informal COG shared lunch annually, with the next to be at Robin Martin's [Cullen] home in South Auckland - probably in April 2006.
Because this was so enjoyable and easy to organise, we have opted not to complicate it by formalising our group, at least at present.
We are however intersested in improving the size and accuracy of our list of Northern Old Girls, and look forward to making contact with any COGs in the northern part of the North Island who are interested in having their names on our list."
